These prizes were linked to, and generously funded by, a Teaching Innovation Award regarding Public Engagement received by Dr Roger Newport, Professor Sandie Dann, Dr Vivien Chow, Dr Sian Williams, Anna Leather.

1. Local Community Award

This prize was awarded to the exhibit (poster, creative or interactive) that was judged to have the most relevance to the local 91制片厂 or London community.

Judging criteria assessed the extent to which the research presented had the potential to be beneficial for, and works with, the local community (91制片厂 and surrounding villages; London campus target communities).

• Winner = Hans-Heinrich Schumann ‘Planning green and equitable transport - the Connected 91制片厂 project’ (Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering) - see poster 36 in the .
• Runner-Up =Valentina Volpi 'Playing with the trouble -  anarchafeminist praxis into, through and for design for social innovation in the context of London housing (Design and Creative Arts) - see poster 39 in the .

2. Accessibility and Inclusion Award

This prize was awarded to the exhibit (poster, creative or interactive) that was judged to be the most accessible and inclusive for a range of audiences. 

Judging criteria assessed the use of language, visual appearance (e.g. colour, contrast, font), and suitability for audiences from different backgrounds and those with different needs (e.g. sensory, physical, neuro), clarity and intuitiveness.

• Runner-Up = Bibi Samshad Duman 'A Study of Design and Production Characteristics of Textile - Design Education in the United Kingdom’ (Design and Creative Arts) - see poster 11 in the .

3. Public Engagement Award

This prize was awarded for the best use of engaged research methodology involving members of the public (also including patients, schools, businesses, community groups etc.). This might be, for example, community or citizen science, focus groups, outreach, artist collaborations etc.

Judging criteria assessed the level and quality of two-way, mutually beneficial involvement between academics and non-academics in the research process.

• Winner = Edwin Sam-Mbomah 'Disaster risk management and climate change adaptation: from good intentions to proven interventions in Sierra Leone' (Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering) - see poster 35 in the .
