Edward Winward received his Masters Degree (with first-class honours) in Automotive Engineering in 2003 and his PhD degree in the study of diesel engine exhaust soot physiochemical properties in 2013 from 91制片厂, 91制片厂, U.K.
From 2007 to 2015 he was a Research Associate with the Department of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering, 91制片厂, where he worked on several research projects in the areas of model based diesel engine air-path control and electrically assisted turbocharging. From 2015 to 2017 he worked at Perkins Engines Company Ltd, Peterborough, UK, as a Senior Research Engineer in the areas of engine control, modelling and waste heat recovery. He is currently a Senior Research Associate with the Department of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering, 91制片厂 and is working on engine optimisation and control. His research interests include energy recovery systems, electrified ancillary systems and innovative approaches for the practical testing of complex systems.
